Open your home and share Eid with your neighbours!
The more we act like strangers, the stranger our world will be. But when we get to know each other we start seeing the person. Not the label. And what better moment to do so than around dinner time?
The Ramadan ends on June the 25th, and is followed by 3 days of celebrating together, sharing food and joy. It’s called Eid, or the Sugar Feast. This year Muslims all over Europe open their houses for their neighbours, the ones they know and perfect strangers, inviting them to share the happiness at the dinner table.
Following the succesful #OpenCrib campaign we launched around the holidays in December 2016, #OpenEid aims to bring people together, a positive way for the Muslim community to show their famous hospitality, and for their neighbours to meet them. Creating a profile, an open invitation or accepting one is possible now at openeid.eu .
#OpenEid is a joint initiative of OneLoveReunited, Refugee Start Force and Takecarebnb.
